Cloud9 was born from the need to adapt the concept of "La Nube" to a tight and hostile environment, as is the case with the Meat Packing District parking lot in Copenhagen. ​

The client, Space10, needed a main venue, dynamic and diaphanous, to host the diversity of programs that were planned on the occasion of the design festival Made In Space. These activities ranged from Yoga classes to lectures, dinners and concerts.

Because of the reduced size of the available plot, it was necessary to evolve the concept of the interior courtyard. It was redesigned as a toroid configured by tensors, with the goal of preserving the flow and the division of the space generated by this central element, while avoiding the claustrophobic feeling that an opaque element would have caused in such a reduced space.
